The English Premier League is the most popular league globally.
Wherever you may be these games will most likely be broadcasted. The league
broadcasts in 212 territories globally. Now with that, there are about 1.5
billion fans around the world, which follow this league. 1.5 billion. That
makes up about 20% of the entire world's population.
In the United States it is tough to grasp
these numbers due to the fact that American sports are predominantly domestic
sports. Soccer is growing in this country at a rapid pace. A pace almost faster
than the English Premier League itself. With that, let me explain my passion
for this sport.
I have been playing soccer ever since I
could walk. Soccer is my passion, something that has defined me through the
years. Now recently my career as a soccer player came to an end when the
college season ended. With that, a huge hole in my life all the sudden arose.
With this blog I hope to fill that void and share my passion for the sport and
more importantly my favorite league.
As the New Year arrived so did the back
half of the English Premier League (EPL). That means that a few things will
start to pick up in the league. The race for the top of the league is getting
tight, with a great Cinderella story that may never come to an end.
Furthermore, the January transfer market has arrived and with that many clubs,
big and small, will try to strengthen their squad to make a final push in the
league.
The world's most popular league is one
that soccer fans can't live without. I hope to share my thoughts on the
remaining part of the season and show you why all the hype and money is
justified.
